PAINT FAILURE CLASSIFICATION STANDARD

 1. DIRT: DETERIORATING APPEARANCE OF PAINT COAT DUE TO INFILTRATION OF FOREIGN MATERIALS SUCH AS PAINT CLOD, RUST DUSTS, STEEL DUSTS, BOOTH DUSTS,
OVEN DUSTS, MINUTE DUSTS
2. SAGS & RUNS: RUNNING OR SAGGING OF PAINT COATS DUE TO PARTIAL OVER SPRAY
3. ORANGE PEEL: PAINT COAT IS NOT IN LEVEL AND HAS HEAVY WAVES (INCLUDING LOOKS LIKE ORANGE PEEL) CAUSING DETERIORAT'G FLAT AND CLEARNESS
4. MOTTLE: CONDITIONS THAT THERE IS DIFFERENCES IN CHROMATICITY DUE TO UNEVENNESS OF METALLIC BASE PARTICLES CAUSING PARTIALLY DIFFERENT COLOR
5. CRATERS/WATER SPOTS/OIL SPOTS: CONDITION THAT HAS LOOKS LIKE CRATER ON THE COAT AND DETERIORATING GLOSS DUE TO DROP OF OIL OR WATER
6. WAVE/DINGS: CONDITIONS THAT PANEL'S UNEVENNESS/BENDING IS EXPOSING OR CAN FEEL IT MANUALLY BY RUBBING WHEN THE PAINT COAT IS INSPECTED FROM LIGHT REFLECTING SIDE
7. POOR GLOSS: CONDITIONS THAT POLISH IS DROPPED SEVERELY DUE TO PAINT DUST, MOISTURE
8. DIFFERENT COLOR: CONDITIONS THAT PARTIAL COLOR OF BODY LOOKS DIFFERENTLY
9. INSUFFICIENT PAINT'G: A STATE THAT CANNOT COVER UNDERCOAT COMPLETELY DUE TO THIN THICKNESS OF PAINT COAT OR EXESSIVELY THIN PAINT COAT
10. OVER SPRAY/SPLASH: A STATE OF UNEVEN COLOR TONE AND COAT LEVELNESS (INCLUDING SEEDING) DUE TO PAINT (BASE, CLEAR) BLOWS OR SPLASHES DURING SPRAY WORKS
11. PUTTY MARKS: A STATE THAT PUTTY WHICH IS USED AS UNDER COAT AND DRIED IS CAUSING LAYER ON THE PORTION OVERLAPPED WITH UPPER COAT
12. POLISH MARKS: SWIRL MARK CAUSED BY POLISHING
13. PIN HOLE & SOLVENT POPING: CONDITIONS OF HOLES REMAINING ON THE SURFACE OF PAINT COAT DUE TO ABRUPT EVAPORATION OF SOLVENT DURING
SURFACE DRYING
14. SEALERS: A POOR SEALING STATE THAT HAVING CONTAMINATION AND IRREGULAR SEALING LINES ON THE SEALING PORTION
15. SAND/WIP'G SCRATCHES: CONDITIONS THAT THERE IS DIFFERENCES IN CHROMATICITY DUE TO PENETRATION OF PAINT INTO UNDERCOAT SANDING PORTION
16. SCRATCHES: A STATE THAT PAINT COAT IS DAMAGED DUE TO INTERFERENCE DURING BEFORE/AFTER PAINT DRYING
17. FILE/GRIND MARK: A MARK FORMED BY GRINDING BEFORE UNDER COAT OR UNDER COAT WORK IS APPEARING ENLARGED
18. WAX: A STATE OF OMITTED WAXING, HEAVY RUN OF WAX OR CONTAMINATION OF WAX FOR ANTI-CORROSION
